Our signature handstand workshop.

Join us for a 3 hour handstand fundamentals and practice workshop at the amazing Wild Box studio in Bristol.

Expect a blend of practical and theory based learning.

Our aim is for you to come away with a new understanding of your unique road to progression on the handstand journey.

This is for you if you have recently discovered a love of handstands and started to practice and build confidence in kickups OR if you are catching the balance and starting to refine the handstand

We strive to find a level for everyone in the room to work to and believe that by finding the right drills, you can make great improvements in your skills practice

  • This is our signature Movement meet Handstand Fundamentals workshop designed to be a realistic route towards understanding skills practice. We cover a range of drills for all levels in attendance and consider the bigger picture taking you from warmup routines through skills specific practice, strength, conditioning and relevant flexibility.

  • This is for you if you have recently started to practice handstands and are beginning to build confidence with kickups OR if you are catching the balance and beginning to refine the handstand

  • We think that a baseline of strength to hold around 20 seconds chest to wall supported handstand with straight arms is a good start. After that, whatever your level, we hope to help you find the best drills that will allow you to keep practicing and making progress in your handstand journey.

  • You can expect

    Wrist warmup and general preparation for practice

    Handstand specific skills work - kickups and refining the kickup, body awareness and the handstand line, exploring shapes and entries

    Building confidence and falling from the handstand - wall and floor based

    Handstand specific strength work - wall and floor based

    Handstand specific conditioning drills - wall and floor based

    Relevant flexibility drills and practical application

    Exact schedule subject to change as we make every effort to address those training in the room with us

  • As we pay for space hire, we can only offer refunds up to four days before the event. There are no refunds available after this time period.

TRAVEL & LOCATION

Is there parking available?


There is on-street parking available outside which is pay at the meter between 9-5pm Monday-Friday, it free outside of those times and at weekends.
You can park at Asda for free for up to 2 hours which is a 7-10 minute walk away.

Do you have bike locks / storage?


We have a limited number of bike racks at the studio and when they are full you can lock your bike at Sweat Box Gym which is just over the road.

Can I travel with public transport to the studio?

Via bus you can travel to East Street, Bristol Temple Meads or Wapping Wharf which are all short walks away.

Via train to Temple Meads or Parson Street
